It is hidden just off the main road across the street from the Ocean Dream Resort, so if you're not looking for it, you'll probably miss it. But Bliss's interesting menu of French-Caribbean fusion cuisine is something that you don't want to pass by! The owners, Thierry, Marie, and Sebastien, are all from France and their menu strongly reflects that. The entrees explore interesting and tropical flavored combinations such as pork medallions in coffee sauce, and chicken skewer with pineapple in coconut sauce. But don't be frightened off if your taste buds prefer something more traditional. There are also items such as pasta, steaks and salmon. Bliss also features daily specials which come with a glass of wine - a little appreciated extra. Once you step inside Bliss, you forget that you just exited a busy street. The surroundings are tranquil and enchanting. A smiling Buddha statue, which is somehow fits very well to this place - probably the peaceful atmosphere - overlooks a small swimming pool situated in between the bar and dining area. There are gentle beats pulsating in the background and plush seating areas to lounge in. The atmosphere and menu at Bliss are truly unlike anything else you will find in Cabarete. It is a great place to have a celebration, enjoy a fine meal, or sip on a cocktail while meditating (with Buddha) next to the pool.
