There are lots of places in Cabarete to get pizza, but if you want a taste of true Italian style, head to Pomodoro. Located on Cabarete Bay, Pomodoro's offers great beachfront views and authentic Italian cuisine.
All of the three owners are from Italy, and their menu highlights what Italians do best. For an appetizer, try the ruccola, tomato, and fresh mozzarella salad for a traditional Italian taste. For an entree, you have a choice of pizza or pasta. The pizza is gourmet thin crust and comes in twenty five different combinations. The pastas also come in many different varieties and are just as delicious.
The decor at Pomodoro is simple in the small dining room and the best seating is outside on the beach. There is live jazz every Thursday night, which draws in quite a full house. Even one of the owners takes his turn and adds a bit of blues to the performance by playing the harmonica. The atmosphere is friendly and inviting, making Pomodoro a great place to enjoy a meal.
